Beachmoor Inn

I know that the Beachmoor is brought up often on here and felt the need to share the local media regarding the Beachmoor. It has been sold to Mass Maritime Academny. They are still going forward with any wedding that were already confirmed but they are now run by Mass Maritime, not the old owners. I have not read anything official but the rumors Ive heard out of Mass Maritime(I know some friends who work there) is that they will not be accepting any weddings after 2011. I hope that either Rita or Mass Maritime have told any brides who are already booked there, but Im not sure. This is just what has been in the newspapers & what Ive heard, anyone who has heard from the beachmoor directly please correct me if Im wrong.

I heard the same thing just recently...That's sad.

What I heard is that the Wind turbine at Mass Maritime is getting noisy as it gets older and is starting to ruin the ambiance... Such a shame... so much for "renewable energy"...They sort of had to buy her out due to "collataral damage..."

Rita Pacheco put her heart and soul into that beautiful little place and it was sweet... really sad news...

I dont know how much the wind turbine could have to do with it sound wise, Ive been to the maritime a whole lot(my fiance went to the maritime) and you hardly ever hear it, with the exception of crazy crazy winds. However, I agree it does kinda kill the ambiance, its quite a big ugly structure looming above.

I'm sorry to hear that about the Beechmoor.  We had thought about having our wedding there since my Dad grew up in the house literally next door (away from the water), but our wedding would have been too big to have there.  It was such a nice option though.  I wonder what MMA will wind up doing with it?

On another note, I know that those wind turbines do cause some serious noise issues (my Mom has a friend in Falmouth who lives right near one that they put up, and she is tempted to move because the noise is so bad).
  • The Beachmoor at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy is no longer an inn or a restaurant, however they are booking private functions.  Everything from wedding reception and ceremonies to meeting and conferences!
