Last Call Waterfront Venue Ideas

Hi all,
I'm feeling so desperate! My FI and I just took are 3rd trip to the Cape to look for a waterfront venue.  We have no problem tenting, bringing in portapotties, and our own caterer/bar.  We loved the Pelham house, but they were all booked for next summer.  We are debating between a private residence, and Nauticus Marina; however, can't help but feel there is something out there that may be more perfect for us.  This is my last effort to try to uncover a site! Help!! Please and Thank You! :)

Have you tried looking at private residences??? Sometimes youll get the best view if you just rent the house & put your tent on their lawn.

Also have you tried Sea Crest? Orleans Waterfront Inn? Hemispheres? Red Jacket?

All waterfront.... all very pretty, but I dont know what style or budget your going for.

    There are soooooooo many choices!

First, what is your budget? What part of the cape are you looking to get wed on?

    Ocean Edge - Brewster
    Hemisphere Restraunt - Sandwich
    Sea Pines - Brewster
    Beachmore Inn - Buzzards Bay
    Captain Linnell House - Orleans
    Dennis Inn - Dennis
    Light House Inn - Dennis

So so many! Also there are private residences as an option too. Check out past reviews on both locations you were interested in as well. And look at our roll call, many of the Cape Cod Knotties are getting married on the beach!

Are you open to going to Nantucket? The Galley and White Elephant might be right up your alley.

Thanks for the suggestions! Our budget is about $30,000 and we're hoping to keep the guest list to about 150.  We want a laid-back feel, with classy accents (i.e. nice plated meal, great band).  I really want it to be mostly outside, tented overlooking the water ideally!

We do have one residential location we're trying for...it was hard to find one in our budget!

Unfortunately, Hemisphere is too small for us, and we weren't in love with the room at Orleans Inn.  We looked at the Dennis Inn, Lighthouse Inn, Ocean's Edge, and all were not quite what we wanted.  Unfortunately Sea Pines and Captain Linell house are not quite on the water, which we really want, and his aunt got married at Popponesset not too long ago, so I don't want a repeat wedding.  Nantucket's a bit too far since my family is traveling from CT and his from NJ.

I like the suggestion of Sea Crest and Beachmoor, we'll check them out :)  The Red Jacket seems nice too. I can't find much info. on Casino Wharf, but I'll keep looking! Thank you so much for the suggestions!! Smile

Casino Wharf I believe has a max guest list of like 80 or something. Im having a wedding of 100 and i remember crossing it off for being to small. I also had our company employee party there 2 years ago and their private room was really odd feeling for me, we felt too squished and there were only like 50ish people. However their food is amazing

There is a great house in Orleans called the Captain Heman Smith House, it is a compound that sleeps up to 22 people, so your wedding party or family could sleep over! It looks A-MA-ZING.

My original plan was to get married at the cape oceanfront, but I couldnt find exactly what I was looking for either! If you are willing to look outside the Cape...try Misselwood its owned by Endicott college! It's beautiful, and an outdoor venue! Good Luck!
