Wedding Planning- I'm Slacking

I know we have a while, but I feel like i'm getting a little behind on the wedding planning. I have my venue/ reception site booked, but that's about it.
I haven't even began looking at dresses- I couldn't even tell you what style dress I want. No other vendors are booked as well.
I'm in the process of meeting with photographers/ videographers because they seem like the second most important vendor to book in advance.

Where is everyone else in their planning? I know this has been asked before, but it's been a while and it would be nice to wake up this board since it's been dead!

We're venue shopping.  Down between two, and we have one more to look at. That'll be booked next month.  I know a person that does wedding cakes, someone that does photography (both new to the industry but they do really good work and I've known them for  years), and the only thing I have left to research is a DJ.  I'm not trying dresses on till April/May.

Other than that, I'm not really sure what else there is to do.  I'm using vistaprint for invitations.

I got a few different samples of postcards from Vistaprint for save the dates.

Booked: DJ, Photog and Entertainment

Paying my deposit Jan 7 on my venue.

I need to drop a little bit more weight  before I start trying on dresses, so I'm prob gonna start that in May.

With Vistaprint I got a wedding sample packet.  Go on their website and hunt for that.  They'll send you different sizes and styles of what they can do.  Its pretty helpful.

Feddallasbride, what do you mean by entertainment? I'm just curious. You seem to be well prepared!

We have casino tables/dealers and a cigar roller coming in. We have this "rat pack" theme we're going for. I do this for a living, so I knew what needed to get done early, from a booking standpoint. My DJ actually does something annually the weekend of our wedding and told me her other client will just have to use her secondary person for 2012. Plus, my FI comes home from overseas in July and I don't want wedding anything to interfere with us catching up from the past year.
