i booked our site today! but had to change our date now we are 2-18 instead of 2-21...  makes more sense to be on a saturday instead of tuesday considering family coming in from homestead, miami, west palm, alabama, georgia, new hampshire, and oregon. just a little bummed it's no longer on our 2 year anniversary... but at least now i know my family will be there... so much for keeping the guest list under 200 lol

just curious what was your original reasoning for wanting a tuesday wedding?
we are having a wednesday wedding, but doing so because of leap day. id prefer a weekend wedding but REALLY love our date so will not change it

Congrats! Our guest list got a bit large too, emailing wedding coordinator today to make sure I know exactly how many butts can be sat in chairs hahaha

we wanted feb 21st so we'd be married on our 2 year anniversary... and now i'm completely freaking out over my guest list... it was 186 a few weeks ago, i just redid it and now it's 256! where did the extra people come from?!?!?! and how am i supposed to wheedle it down by 100? oy! this will be the death of me lol

Congrats! You'll be able to celebrate your anniversary during your honeymoon which will be nice. Good luck with the invite list, trust me I feel your pain. You don't want to hurt anyones feelings but in the end it's your day and people have to understand that.

the hardest part is feelings... my mom is #7 of 10... how am i supposed to invite 3 of 4 cousins in one family, all the kids in another and none of one? if it's supposed to be who i feel closest to that's the way it would happen... ugh! almost makes me want to just run to the courthouse and be done with... almost

We have a similar issue. John is the oldest of 9, with more then 1/2 being under the age of 18 - which means kids will have to be invited (although we would have had my 3 step kids anyway).
but my mom is one of 8 and my dad is one of 11... i'm picking and choosing- screw 'em all!!

the venue hold up to 500 in the gardens and 150 in the house... we redid the guest list and got it down to 180 but i still need to cut another 30 before invites go out... just in case all say yes i'm thinking of not using the gardens... saves us almost $800 and we'd only use it for the ceremony anyways... i was thinking of just doing the pictures out there since it is on the Halifax River and i wanted some sort of water present... must call venue!
