Spring Lake/Grand Haven spots for photos

Hi guys -

We are getting married in 17 days - yikes - in Spring Lake. I am looking for places to take photos with the wedding party before the ceremony in the Spring Lake/Grand Haven area (or really anywhere else that is close). I wanted to go to the beach but am now worried about sand. Has anyone taken beach pictures. Would you recommend this or no? Thanks so much for your help.

    If you want to go to the beach but avoid the sand you could go on the pier.  Other good spots in Grand Haven are the city marina, boardwalk, tri-cities museum (my pic below!)  Not sure about Spring Lake...
