Officiants

So, my wedding isn't until June 2011, but according to the knot checklist (which I'm trying to live by because otherwise I'll forget EVERY detail!)...I'm supposed to start looking for one now.  Okay, so how do I start?  I don't go to church, and I have no idea how to find one.  It's not like there's a section in the yellow pages that says "I do weddings!" 

Also,  I work Monday-Friday from 8-5 and my fiance works 11am-7:30pm.  So how am I supposed to look, find some to meet with, and try to make a decision anytime soon?  Wedding planning is getting stressful already!

Also, most vendors should be flexible to meeting in the evening or meeting on Sundays in order to get your business.  If they aren't, then you might want to question if they are right for you.  Don't worry...I planned a wedding from the other side of the state, and was only able to meet with vendors when we came in for long weekends.  We made it work, so I'm sure you can too!

One thing-- just remember that the checklist is a guide, not a live or die rule book.  You don't really have to look for an officiant this early unless you're having the wedding on a holiday or something like that.  Just like you don't HAVE to have favors, or tshirts, or any of that jazz.  Relax, you have plenty of time!
