Holland/Grand Haven Beach Wedding/Reception

I am not the bride but I am helping a friend plan her wedding and they're looking to have a beach wedding in Holland or Grand Haven. We're planning with somewhat of a budget and are looking for location idea's for the reception with 100 or less guests.

The wedding is June 25th, 2nd wedding, barefoot/on the beach/Hawaiian/pig roast kinda party.

    Hi there!

    In Holland, she could look at Camp Geneva. They're a Christian kids' summer camp located in the dunes right along Lake Michigan. They have an outdoor area, and a really cute chapel right on the top of the dune overlooking the lake.

    In Grand Haven, I've heard of people getting married at Kirk Park. It's a county park, so she would have to call the county. I went there with my BP after the wedding for pictures and it was beautiful.

    I've also heard of a ballroom-type venue on the beach near Grand Haven.. the name of it is escaping me. I'll try to look it up and will ETA when I find it. :)

    I went to vrbo.com and homeaway.com and searched for a large vacaion home that could house this sort of event. I found the perfect place in montague but I had offers from grand haven and holland as well. a lot of the places are either on a lake or beach or very close. we are renting a home that sleeps 19 on white lake for the weekend and having the ceremony on the grounds. all of the wedding party will be able to stay with us for the weekend and they can help set up and tear down. It is perfect for us because we are on a tight budget. I wish you luck!

    The Grand Haven Golf Club has a pretty pavillion that can hold ceremonies for generally about 200 people.  They also have a pretty reception hall that can hold up to 275 people. 

    I've also heard that there is a conference grounds on the beach in grand haven that has pretty ceremonies.

    Michellenda Lodge (sp?) is nice - it is in Whitehall though.

    Grand Haven Golf Course is newly renovated and has AWESOME pricing
