Activities and Things to do around Emerald Isle???

Hello! We found a rental home we love in Emerald Isle, but most of our guests will be using this as vacation time - is there golf, good food, fun bars or anything in Emerald Isle or in any cities close?? I heard it is a pretty quiet town, we won't be able to visit the city for a few months.

Beaufort is really close and they have some cute shops that are nice to walk around in. The nice think about the Crystal Coast area is that it's much calmer and less commercial. This also means there isn't a lot of things to do, but it will be very relaxing for your guests!

We just got back from our wedding in Emerald Isle last week!  It was so wonderful!!!  What house are you renting?  We got ours thru Emerald Isle Realty.  It was perfect!  Honestly, all the times I've been to Emerald Isle, which is MANY, we have almost never done anything.  It is so relaxing there and the beach is so beautiful, that we get content to not do much else!  Beaufort is a good town to visit.  On the waterfront, cute shops, some good restaurants.  There is a ferry to Shakelford Island where there are wild horses.  There is a aquarium that was redone several years ago.  We haven't been since, but one of our guests went last week and said it was awesome!  There are also things like mini golf and go carts too.  We had such an amazing wedding and all of our guests loved it there.
