Do you...

know what you are doing with you centerpieces? Giving them away? Selling them? I don't know what I'm doing with mine so I was just wonderng if you did?

Sorry for being a PW, but I cant imagine stuffing all those 30 arrangements back in that room. I don't know if I should ship them anywhere (like if I sold them) bc I'd hate to deal with breakages. I could offer them on my local board, or just give them away. Sigh...

ETA: To make sense.

Re: Do you...

  • I plan on selling about half of my jars that I put together. I have a girl from my CL post looking for them who wants them, she just has to come and get them. But I do plan on keeping a portion because they're really cute and will work great in our house.
My centerpieces are pretty small and are all fresh flowers so I don't have to worry about stuffing them any where thankfully.

  • I totally wish I had the patience to use fresh flowers. They would have been so lovely and smelled so nice, as I'm sure y'all's will! But with 30 tables, I couldn't risk them wilting and the cost was about the same for the size we wanted. Plus, I get to take them all to the venue a week before and have them in storage, which is nice :)

I'm debating on whether or not to have people take them. :/ Since we are staying in our hall until 1:00 am, I also don't want half the arrangements gone when people start to leave mid way or so. Even if I did wait until 1:00 to announce them to leave, I feel like I'd want certain people to have certain arrangements. I'm so wierd!! lol
  • I plan on listing the stuff on craigslist - I am going to keep a few though.

  • We aren't doing flowers - we have square mirrors with jumbo martini glass (short and tall) and blue glass rock with floating candles in them.  The people who are doing our linens are doing the centerpieces as well, so they will just come in and pick everything up when we're done!

  • We are DIYing them and the supplies came from the dollar tree so I am going to bet my Mom will put them in a yardsale or something after the fact.

  • My wedding planner/florist's husband is building the boxes the flowers are in so I would imagine she will keep them for future events.  The rest of the pieces of the centerpieces are rentals so I don't know.

  • FI made all of ours, so when we have our final meeting with the DJ's, then we'll see if they can do something fun to let the guests take them home..I know my mom & FMIL have already staked claim to the one their tables :)

  • I will probably donate most of mine to the church where our reception is and they can use them for table decorations in the future. I'll keep a few, but not all 20!
  • Mine are mostly going to be water filled vases with floating candles and some will have live flowers.  I am going to be loaning my centerpieces (vases) out to a girl I know who is on a tight budget and needs any help she can get.  Anyways after she is done with them I am going to sell most of them and maybe keep a few of the vases.

  • We're not having any at our wedding, but at my first wedding we offered ours to the guests who hung around to help us clean up.  My cousin's girlfriend took two of them!  They were definitely easy to get rid of, I don't think we walked away with any of them which is what we wanted.

And at a friend's wedding once they were just giving away these awesome tall vases.  We took two of them and used them as Betta tanks.  :)

I believe in a lot of things. I believe in fresh tennis balls, the healing power of bunnies, and that the novels of Susan Sontag are something I'll never read. In fact, I don't even know who Susan Sontag is. What is she... like... a painter? I believe in Crystal Lite because I believe in ME. I believe in the movies of Val Kilmer, though these days it ain't so easy. I believe in Darren Sproles, the word "dabble", the first season of "Silk Stockings", and big, warm, moist, gooey chocolate chip cookies that melt in your mouth and all over your face.
