So I am swinging by my venue today on my lunch break to make our final deposit!  It feels great but I really hate handing over those large checks!!    I feel anxiety even though that is a big chunk of what we still owe...after today we still owe final payments on the limo, flowers, DJ and photographer  (at least those are the big ones!)   I just want all this paying people stuff to be OVER!!  Almost there...

I feel your pain!  My parents are helping but I'm still spending a lot of my own money as well.  I will be glad when it's all paid for.  However, we are not going in debt for this wedding so when it's paid, it's paid and done with!

Couldn't agree more!!! We're still only at 17% of our wedding paid, although my parents are paying for the venue so that's not included, but that does include rings and honeymoon.  I expect 75% to be paid off by March 1st.  Unfortunately we won't technically have everything entirely paid off until late April when we return from the honeymoon!!

I paid my final deposit for the venue and reception today over lunch!  Holy buckets that was a a big swipe of the credit card! (but more free miles on the credit card)

That's so funny, I was just talking about this last night with w+c3, annerodan, and ellidellio. I hate the idea of giving over huge checks. It's not like we don't have the money, it's just that...I don't like giving away that much money!  lol
