March 2012 Weddings

The things I have planned on that have changed...

So I supposed it was inevitable. I planned too hard or thought I was sure of something that ended up changing. I wanted to minimize this as much as possible to save on the extra expense, and for the sake of not doubting my original ideas.

However- I've since changed my favors (almost 3 times!) Lastly, it was going to be cake pops, and now I've decieded to do Lindt Truffles wrapped in their gold paper to match my colors (white chocolate-omg yum).

I wasn't going to do a signature drink. Now we are, but primarily for cocktail hour.

Speaking of cocktail hour, we are having a 7 piece mariachi band play for that hour, and to conclude, we will dance our first song to their last song.

I was going to do some type of departure, but now we aren't.

I've also changed my RD location. I actually asked y'all's opinions (and my local board), and we are still figuring it out but probably leaning towards either Mexican or BBQ.

Last but not least, I've changed out my escort card idea. My sister was making tiny oragami roses for each card, but I think I'm going to incorporate the ones she's made some other way. I found a canvas art for $30 that I really liked. I'm just going to add ribbon across it and hang my tent cards on the ribbon. Pics later :)

I feel like there is more that has changed, but I'm so excited to have all these details playing out and getting put together. 33 Days left! :D

Any of you guys make major changes?

Oh my gosh, I'm obsessed with those chocolates! I hate regular chocolate, but I could eat white chocolate all day long. JP always gets a lot of them for my stocking during Christmas. This year, I ate a few and made him take them all to work for his employees. They're SO bad for you, but so delicious. Had it not been for the wedding, I would have eaten every. single. one. of. them.

Anyway, everything happens for a reason and it sounds like you've got it all figured out, regardless of the amount of changes you've had to make. :)

I haven't changed much. I changed my wedding colors from the very start. I always thought I'd to pink and purple - bright versions of both. In the very beginning of the planning process I changed it to various shades of pink (mostly light) and ivory. Other than that, not much has changed. I do keep going back and forth on whether or not I want a design with the flower petals on the aisle or if I want them scattered everywhere. That's about it though. :)

The BIG change is our freaking guest list. We've let 9 people add guests, which is SO many more than I expected. We've also told at least ten no. Don't forget the random 6 JP's dad decided to add to the list as well.

This year I bought them for me for Valentine's :( They had the special edition milk chocolate outside and white chocolate inside.

Do  you mean like an aisle runner? Like this?(I just got a rando pic from the internet):

    <a href="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/images/store/14/13/9e06398f-5f3f-4098-9d7b-ee91f1434603.large.png" title="Click to view a larger photo" class="PhotoLink"><img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/images/store/14/13/9e06398f-5f3f-4098-9d7b-ee91f1434603.medium.png" alt="" /></a>

The reason I was asking was bc I was debating on one of these. My venue offers one, but all I can see is me tumbling to the ground :(

Ugh, I hear you. Although for me, I think it's opposite. We have like 3 extra tables due to the contract and poor communication with the sales team. ARGH. :/
