Spray tanning?

Can anyone give me advice on spray tanning? What to ask for? How close to the wedding do I have it done? I medically can not use a tanning bed, but I've GOT to do something. I still have bad tan lines from tank tops last summer and my dress is sleeveless.

For dances I usually did it the day before. So like Friday before a Saturday. But I would say you could go as far as Wed or Thurs. (You can't shower for like 24 hrs or something...at least the next morning)

I've only ever been hand sprayed and never been to a booth. Ive always liked my results.

I am also getting a spray tan, I have never had one before but several of my BM's have so going off of whatthey say and my opinion I plan on getting one either tuesday or wednesday before wedding (saturday). my BM said I can go on thursday but I fear being orange lol. since it isw supposed to last a week I figure if I go wednesday it will be faded enough by saturday to look natural. I would rather not be "as tan" than tobe orange.

I am interested in others feedback as well

I've done the spray tan and it is awesome! I would recommend going 2 days before. You can shower 6 hours later and it lasts about a week. I go to Planet Tan and basically just tell them how dark I want to be and they set it up. Make sure & wash your hands & feet after so you don't get lines. Other than that, the machine tells you how to stand and when to turn so its great.

I'm glad I read up on this...I am totally ignorant to spray tanning and dont want any chemicals to rub off on my dress, but I'm glad other people are doing it. It just might make me want to! Especially since I have tan lines and a strapless dress!

I am planning on going Thur for Sat wedding.  I am also going to do a trial run the weekend of my bachelorette party to get the color right.  I am usually casper color so I don't want it to look to fake.

I agree with PP's that you should go 2 days before.  I have done it for 2 other weddings and always did it on Thurs for a Sat wedding.  You shower 8 hours later and some will wash off, but it looks great by the second day!   I have always gone to a salon and gotten the "by hand" airbrush tan.  If you are afraid of being too dark, tell them and they can always do a lighter color.  When I have gone, she always asks me how dark I want to be.  And as far as being orange, I never had a problem with it!  Good Luck and I would def give it a test run!

Never done it, but I like the idea of doing a test run before another event (i.e. shower, bachelorette, Valentine's Day?) Good luck!

I've never done it before either, so I'm going to try a place out tomorrow.  Not sure if I'll use the machine or have someone do it by hand -- I'll let you ladies know how it goes!
