Eyelashes

I've never had fake eyelashes and just wondering if anyone knew of a certain brand that works well?  - Thanks!

I bought the cheapos and I could not get them on!!   Does anyone have tips on putting them on with ease??

Also, did you do your eye shadow first or after the lashes are on?  I found that my make-up got all messed up from trying tp put the lases on!

Yea, it does take some practice...I probably had to go through about 5-10 pairs before getting it just right when I started many years ago.

Like I mentioned, there are some 'cheapos' that I still cant get on due to the lack of flexibility on the applicator part, so stick to at least recognizable brands. WalMart and CVS/Walgreens carry those, too. I do suggest that you use tweezers to apply and then gentle pressure to get it on. Don't use too much glue or you'll have a mess..and make sure you use enough so they don't fall on you- lol

I always put my eyeshadow on first, adn then I use a liquid liner (I swear by: ) to finish off the look and to make sure it doesn't look too uneven/choppy. If I didn't have a splint on my nose I would totally PIP a step by step. If no one else does one, I'll do one after I take my splint off in 2 weeks :)

ETA: I highly recommend YouTube vids, too :)
  • Thank you!!! I am def going to practice tomorrow night :))  I hope I can get it mastered so that I can wear them Saturday!

  • I love fake eyelashes! I only ever wear them on Halloween to be honest, but I recently realized a lot people wear them all the time. I may start wearing them more often for big events, but not daily or every weekend by any means. I definitely plan on wearing them on my wedding day though.

I apply all my makeup, eyeshadow, and eyeliner before adding them, then I still go back with mascara and add a bit. When I normally wear mascara without eyelashes, I always put on multiple coats because I like them dark and full - I don't do this when I have fake ones on because it's not needed.
