FI is in love with the laser engraved alder and "won't participate" if I get the birch. He won't "waste his time" helping with the design of an "inferior invitation" etc...
But I like the birch better and more importanly they would be $75 less! He says he'll give up control on this one, but he won't be happy about it (NO KIDDING). I have no desire to make him miserable, but I orginally planned to make the invites myself for around $70 now we're talking about spending closer to $200.
I asked him if we should just not to do wood, but that made me sad and I have no idea what I'd want.
Why can't he say "whatever you want, honey" and count down the days like other grooms?
