So I got a survey in the mail today from my photographer. It pretty much walks you through all the different styles of photos that they do and can be done. Its to help us and the photographer to get a better idea of what is wanted that day.

That got me wondering what everyone else is doing. Are you going more old school traditional with pictures or more contemporary photo journalist style pictures?

I am wanting to go more contemporary with ours. I am not a fan of the old stuffy over posed pictures. I want the pictures to be fun, light hearted and a relection of us as a couple.

So what are you doing?

We are going with the photo journalistic style, which is partially why we picked our photographers. To me, this style really captures the emotion of everything that's going on....the tearful moments and the fun moments!! We are also doing a "first look" after reading over info that our photographers gave us on it, and seeing the raw emotion that those pictures can also provide. I'm so excited!!

I'm really looking forward to my photos, probably the most!  I love the more modern/candid style of photography.  I have been pinning a lot of ideas on pinterest  http://pinterest.com/rachel801231/wedding-photography-ideas/

I love the "non" first look photo ideas and there's one with the flower girls sticking out under the brides dress ADORABLE!

My photographer is relative of mine so I've gotten to keep in touch with her and give her all my ideas and she has some great ones too.  We will also do the traditional photos of us, parents, bridal party at the church just to have them.

We are planning to do both. My photographers are the photo journalist type but will also do a few of the old style (www.darkroux.com) We are also doing the first looks, mostly because we are getting married after sundown and I would like to have some shots outside during the day.

We're doing pretty much all photojournalistic/candid style. However there will be some of the old stuffy posed at the alter photos of family.

We too will also be doing a first look. Mostly due to time constrainsts and lights reguarding the ceremony time but I am pretty excited about it. I feel it will be so special to have that alone time for just a half hour that day because I know we won't get any more during the day.

We're also doing mostly photojournalistic/candid with some posed shots and a first look.

I really want to capture what hte weding was actually like, not a bunc of people standing around. There are some group photos that I definitely want to get, though, so we'll do posed ones with family after the ceremony.

P.S. Jaime, I love your photographer's work!! Your photos are going to be awesome.
