Within the Ribbon cards

Is anyone having Within the Ribbon cards for seating at your ceremony? We are about at seating capacity at our church and I want to be sure those closest to us get to sit up front. I'm not sure how to go about this last minute task, ideas?

Re: Within the Ribbon cards

  • Tell the appropriate guests that they can sit 'within the ribbons.' Tell your ushers/groomsmen who gets to sit 'within the ribbons.' Then put the ribbons up! It shouldn't be too confusing as long as you have ushers/groomsmen who can handle it.

    Still here and still fabulous!

  • Well, that's part of the problem. The ushers FI chose don't know any of my family because I didn't grow up around here and they know very few of FI's. I have read about sending Within the RIbbon cards in invitations, but it's too late for that, so I guess I'm going to make some and do yet another mailing. I just don't want my relatives who are driving 6 hours to get there and not have a place to sit up front. Just another task to add to the list.
  • Will you see these family before the ceremony? Can your parents/in-laws help spread the word, rather than you having to mail something else? Then those people can just let the ushers know that they should be seated up front?
