March 2012 Weddings

OOT Bag Notes

I'm in the process of putting together our OOT Bag notes - little notes that will be tied to the bags to say thanks for coming.

I wanted to see how you girls were wording this!

All I have at the moment is this:
"Welcome to our wedding weekend!!
FI and I wanted to take a moment to say thank you for traveling so far to share this special time with us. It means the world to us to be able to share our wedding with our closest friends and family. "

And then I'm stuck. LOL. What do you girls have?

Re: OOT Bag Notes

  • I have not even remotely thought about this. I think this will be one of the things I hand over to my mom to work on while I am at work the last few weeks before the wedding.

But, I think your note sounds perfect. Is there any reason you don't want to just end it there?

    Still here and still fabulous!

  • Not particularly. I guess I just feel like there should be more. But it really does kind of say it all, short and sweet and right to the point.

I'm not doing a whole bunch of DIY, but what I am doing, I want to get out of the sooner rather than later.

  • We plan on leaving a note very similar to this (short & sweet is good :) )... but if I find the time, I might steal Lisa's idea and make a note in pamphlet/ brochure form... basically to include a lot of the information from our website with the welcome bag.

  • I decided to just keep that, and then on a seperate card. (I'm buying cardstock and just printing these, but I only have a MAX of 30 to do and then I am using a border puncher to make it match my RSVP's) But on a seperate card behind it I'm planning on putting  a map of events, and It will include the addresses and times to everywhere and possibly a little map, as well as a 'if you have time, we love taking visiting here and shopping here' type of suggestions.

<div>This is perfect! I was about to suggest that you add a map of events/times to the letter.</div>
