Affordable venues in NC?

Hi!  My beloved fiancee and I are planning on getting married in NC near asheville.  I was wondering if anyone knew of a decent place to get married for around $200?  Our budget is quite small, but we feel that there has to be a place (maybe non-traditional) where we could have our ceremony outside for about that price.  Thanks!

How many people does it need to accommodate?

    Hi!

We're counting on 30-40, and we're planning the wedding for March 24th, of 2012 :)

Way back in the day we were thinking of doing our wedding near Asheville.  One place we checked out that was really reasonable was Chimney Rock Park.  Might be too cold for an outdoor wedding in March though.

Yea, it will be pretty cold here for an outside wedding in March. The weather in this area is insane, one day it will be bright and sunny and the next it's a freezing hail storm. Be warned if you have your heart set on something outdoors.

Most of the venues in this area are kinda pricey but you could always go with the VFW or another community building.

I think your best bet would be to have your wedding at a local restaurant. Zambra's is a trendy tapas bar that has an outdoor patio area where I'm sure you could have the ceremony. There's also a ton of cute farmhouse type restaurants in the Black Mountain area.

    Hi there!

You could also check out The Loft at 14th in downtown Concord, NC. We had our engagement party there and it was such a great place, I had never been there before. Perfect for the amount you are wanting to accommodate.

Hope this helps and good luck in your search.
