Real or Fake...

Sorry about the title...no pun intended!

I am not doing a bouquet toss and my florist was going to make a complimentary bouquet. Since I don't need it I was going to ask her to either make my bouquet bigger, put some rose petals on the cake table, OR I had this great idea just now to ask for a couple of roses for my hair! I know for sure I wanted roses with my 'do, but I have been having the hardest time finding a hair clip that I like. I have tried lots of online sites including etsy and stores all over!

My question is...have any of you ever done real flowers in your hair? Do they wilt VERY quickly? I am not worried about it looking perfect until 1AM or anything0, but I have heard mixed reviews about using real flowers vs fake flowers and it seems like it depends on the flower and the humidity/temps. I want to use roses and we will be in Vegas (very dry and about 60-70 degree average that day). What do y'all think? Any experience?

Hi, I had roses in my hair for a prom once. I had my hair half up, and half down. The part that was up had curls, and then real roses pinned into my hair. My roses were small baby roses, and they were closed. The rest of my hair fell loosely with curls. It was really pretty. I didn't have any problems. When I went to the prom it was summer time, so the temp was about 90 degrees, and the inside, where the prom took place, was air conditioned. Between the temperature changes, I don't recall that bothered the flowers. I received a ton of compliments!!! Good luck!
