Ceremony start time?

Hey ladies!

I just booked the venue for our wedding (yay!) and they asked me to name the time I wanted it to start. It's a 5 hr wedding(ceremony, picture taking time, and reception in 5 hrs)on March 17th. I would like the ceremony to start while it's still light outside with enough time to take pictures after the cemeony.
I would like your opinion of what time I should have the ceremony start that would meet my criteria?

Re: Ceremony start time?

  • We just recently changed our minds. We'll be doing a 5:30 ceremony, which shouldn't last more than 30 minutes. Pictures for 45 minutes or so, dinner around 7. The ceremony and reception are at the same venue.

  • Our wedding is March 10 and we are starting at 4 so we will have daylight for a bit and be able to get some sunset pictures and then it be dark soon after for a more formal event
