Just a little thought on proper etiquette...

So I know we've all been crazy trying to do things the right and proper way for our weddings but I just had to share something that made me laugh.  One on my former students plays for the NFL.  This morning my friend from work brought in a wedding invite for his wedding that he got hand delivered yesterday.  It was an invite to this players wedding on Feb 24th.  The invite used labels and had no postage on the RSVP envelope.  The RSVP date is also Friday.  I must say it made me smile.  Even famous millionaires don't always follow proper etiquette. So moral of the story is don't sweat the small stuff.

    Love it!  Over the weekend my dad sat me down and told me that I'm doing a great job with the etiquette but in short I'm "overdoing it"...  After really thinking it through, he's right....... very few people care AT ALL about the etiquette details we worry about on a daily basis and discuss on here.  Not worth it! Time to enjoy the rest of our engagement!

    That's why I stopped stressing! I've probably done a ton of things that are against "etiquette" for weddings, but you know what? I'm doing them the same way my friends and family have that have already gotten married... so if it didn't bother them then, it's not gonna bother them now!

    I hate going on the etiquette board on here because it just makes me feel like a failure :)

    Thank you so much for this.  I've been upset all day because I think I forgot to stamp 1 RSVP envelope (out of 120+).  This makes me feel a little better.

    Maybe I should have left stamps off my RSVP's...I only got back maybe 25 out of 61. What a waste of money... :(

    Haha! That's funny! I've tried to do things according to etiquette for the most part, but there may or may not be a couple of things I'd probably get ripped apart for on the etiquette board. You know what though?! I just don't care what the wanna-be-wedding-know-it-alls think of me. :)
