Most Dreaded Check!

So the dreaded seating chart is complete! It was soooooo much easier than I thought. Probably a total of 4 hrs work in it by the time I wrote it up and then met with my mom to ok everything and decide which groups got which table on the layout.

So ladies if you were like me and totally dreading it, you may be in luck! It was so much easier than I expected!!

That's great! FMIL and I were talking today and she was like 'ok, I have tables of 9 and 8'... luckily we have a good relationship, so I was like 'actually, it will probably be 11 and 6, but we can work that out AFTER ALL THE RSVPs ARE IN'   I her.

That's awesome, I always hear that figuring out the seating chart is the worst so I'm glad to hear that's it's not so bad!

I'm actually looking forward to doing mine! I get to put the display board together for the escort cards and I think it will be fun to arrange people so that they have a good time!

Still waiting on a few RSVP's and then I can get started!

Ugh, I wish it was easy. We started throwing some together based on who we know is already coming, and our individual families' contain between 7-9 people per group, so it leaves us with having to close the table with about 1-3 seats that could have been used.

I'm glad you were able to knock it out with no problems. I'm printing out the escort cards without the table numbers for now until we can get the seating/rest of the rsvps squared away!

I bought a software program called 'iDo' and it has made everything SO easy.  There's a place to move people that have said they're attending to tables and then you can just print it out.  I also have a place to put in gifts, whether a ty note has been written or not, who was invited, contacts, vendors, etc.  I was doing it by spreadsheet before but I had so much information on there it was getting kind of hard to figure out what was what.

I got it at Hobby Lobby - normally $30 but with a coupon I got it for $18 and it was worth every freaking penny.

We're doing the seating chart on the 11th of March - my mom is coming up for the weekend and we're getting together with my FMIL and doing the chart then.  Shouldn't take too long, I hope.
