We finally opened the first gifts that we received yesterday due to FI being out of town for thw past week. Anyway, one of the boxes from Macy's had plates on it that we didn't register for, yet a different item was checked off the list as being fulfilled. So I spent 45 mins with their customer service person over the phone, telling her that this item never was on our registry. (Sidebar- whatever happened to the customer always being right?)
Turns out their system erroneously used the same ID number for 2 different items, so I just happened to get the wrong one. They're going to ship me new ones, but they did say that the same thing could happen again due to the numbers being the same. Great! How difficult can it be to just get something right? Now I have to pack 12 plates up again fed ex them to Macys (on their dime) and hope that I only have to do this once.
This come less than 2 weeks after they sold me jewelry for my bridesmaids that didn't exist and didn't refund my money or even tell me until I called customer service. Hopefully my luck will change with them.
