DIY Programs....

Ok ladies, for all of you who are doing DIY Programs. I have a question, how are you handling the "No Flash Photography" during the ceremony and what about the silencing of cell phones?? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!

Oh gosh. We're having an outdoor ceremony so we don't have to prohibit flash photography. We'll probably have the ushers remind people as they are seating them to turn off their cell phones.

Our wedding is outside, so we don't have to worry about flash photography. I wasn't planning on doing anything about cell phones. I'd hope people would have the common decency to silence them. I've never seen in a program or heard someone say turn off your phones at a wedding. I think it would almost seem weird to hear something say that. Sorry that I don't have any advice, but maybe hope your guests show respect as I'm sure they will.

Can you not have flash photography in any indoor venue or just in churches?  I didn't even think of this and no one has said anything so far.

Thanks ladies...I wasn't sure what to do or even if it was necessary to put it in the program. I was to a wedding in November and sure enough, a cell phone was ringing during the vows..and I'm not sure if the bride and groom heard it, but I was angry for them...that's why I wondered about the cell phone silencing..as for the Flash photography, I think it's just churches...not 100% sure though

I think I'm just going to hope for the best because the church FI and I are getting married doesn't allow flash photography either.  I may ask the minister how other people have handled this situation.  I hope no one has their cell phone on during the ceremony.

I hope nobody has their cell on during my ceremony. That would be soooo rude! I haven't even thought of it. Hopefully they have common sense!
