I know everyone is excited about your dress, cake, etc. etc. but wha'ts your favorite little detail at your wedding?

DIY projects and small touches are the thing I've had the most fun with some I'm curious to hear from you girls!

Mine isn't really a thing but more that I got to plan the wedding with my mom.  I've mentioned this before, but she never really had a wedding.  She was 17, pregnant and got married in her parents garage during a down pour.  I really think she's had more fun helping me pick out things and do things more than I have lol.  She dragged me to a  bridal show yesterday.  Years down the road this will be a memory that I will always have and that means everything to me!

My new favorite is my bridesmaids bouquets! My original plan didn't work out (bead bouquets) so this weekend I tested a carnation bouquet. Costco didn't have plain white, so you'll need to imagine this with white flowers and navy beads... the ribbon on the handle is cornflower blue (the BM dresses are cornflower with a navy sash).

I completely agree! I'm not artsy/crafty, but knew I didn't want to spend a ridiculous amount of money for certain things - table numbers/menus/escort cards, etc.  So I've had fun figuring out how to do them and that they actually turned out really well! FI laughs at me when I get all excited after I've finished something and I'm so proud of it :)

Well I haven't done any DIY (I am so not creative or crafty so its best to leave to other people). My SIL made our card box and each side of it looks like a page in a scrap book. It is so cute!

I'm really excited about some of my DIY projects. I finished my centerpiece mason jars last night - I wrapped them with lace and tied jute around them and I will do the same with the pew one's this week as well. I'm really happy with how my OOT bags came out and I'm excited to see how my programs will turn out once I print them, hopefully by next weekend.

I love all mine - DIY card box, guestbook, hangers, and bags. Now I'm about to start OOT bags & I have some door hangers to print that I made..

I really liked how my shoes turned out. I also really like my bouquet. My shoes are have rhinestones all over it. The bouquet has brooches and feathers and it's really wild.

I'm probably most excited about our signature drink/open bar and our music choices. I really put ALOT of time and effort in picking the music so that the 'soundtrack' is really unique. We also hired an awesome DJ and a videographer (those are the splurges), so I'm really excited to see the output of their work product!

I'm really excited to see the guys in their kilts and how all my venue deorations look!  Oh and my cake!

I'm especially excited about my centerpieces and the way we're doing placecards. We're getting old hard cover books with romantic titles (dust jackets off), and stacking them on each table with a pretty lantern, votive candles, and petals scattered. Each stack of books will have romantic titles and ONE joke/fun title personalized based on who is sitting there. As an example, my brother and sis-in-law played Sweet Caroline at their wedding for my mom and a few others, and I found a book called Sweet Caroline that will be in their stack.

For our placecards, I got manzanita tree branches and have carved each guest name into a wood disc. The back will have their table number...and we'll hang those on the tree branches.

my fav is an addition to our guest book picture frame, I ordered apiece of art off etsy, its a painted tree trunk with our initials in a heart onthe trunk, it comes with your choice of colored inkl and the guest put their thumb prints on the branches as leaves to fill in the tree. Supper excited to have this for years to come
