Program Printing Question...

Ok, so I bought paper to DIY my programs and I have the template all completed as well.  My question is...what do you think would be better to do as far as printing?

Do them at home on my own printer and buy the extra ink needed?  (I am just doing black ink)

Or take them to Staples or Office Max to have printed?

What do you think is more cost effective??  Help!! Smile

Re: Program Printing Question...

  • We bought "generic" ink on amazom for 1/4 of the price as the real stuff on Amazon for our DIY invites.  It worked like a charm.  Yes you use more of it but your still saving money.

  • I checked into Staples, they charge I think .10 per page, and they will cut them to your specifications for a charge, but I'm sorry, I can't remember..I am struggling with this too...FI says just to print them at home..but I think it would be easier if staples did them....

  • I'm more of an instant gratification kinda gal, so I am probably doing them at home. However, my sister used my printed to make the shower invites and my printer was being a deuche. So, I'll probably print them at work :)

We use FedEx office services from time to time and they are pretty good, I would just make sure to give them a few days in advance so that they don't try to charge you extra. Typically, I drop off one day, pick up the next :)
  • My MOH will actually be printing them from her place and I am going to buy the ink for her (even though she keeps telling me no). She is a creative mind and has a cute idea on how to put them together.

  • I'm going to have FI so the design and then we'll have Office Max or Staples do the printing.  My friend did the same thing and supplied the paper, and it ended up costing about $25.  To me thats worth it.  (Plus the office store is across the street from our apt, and the printer is at my parent's house 25 miles away.)

  • Thanks Girls! I think Office Max is the way to go.  I can get them printed for about
.19 cents each and not have to deal with the hassle.

  • I'm having them printed at either Office Max or Staples.
