Well, half-marathon #4 is now under my belt. It hurt about as much as I thought it would considering my longest run was 5 miles and I hadn't run in a whole month.
I paced my friend the whole time. She wanted to finish in under 3 hours, or 3:09 at the latest as that was her 'personal worst.' We ended up finishing in 3:12. It's far from the fastest I could have run, but it was fun to do it with someone else to take my mind off the pain in my legs! Now I'm sitting on the couch enjoying a burger and fries and wearing my compression socks!
Me at the start. The race was supposed to start at 7:30. They pushed it back 10 minutes, and then let one corral go per minute. We ended up not starting until after 8 o'clock!
The spoils of my victory (i.e., my medal.) For those who aren't friends on FB, I've gotten in the habit of taking pictures of my ring in various situations. I call it 'Adventures of my ring'

Still here and still fabulous!
