March 2012 Weddings

music

Do you pick out every song to play? Like, for the ceremony, its the prelude (when the BP walks down aisle?) then the parents/grandparents...? How does the order go? Do you need songs picked out for each person? I don't get it! HELP!!!

Re: music

  • You can do whatever it is you want to do... it's your wedding!  :)  I think usually the parents and grandparents have a song, the bridal party has a song, the flower girl and ring bearer may have a song, and then the bride has a song.  So that's 3-4 songs for the processional.

But since I only have one girl walking down the aisle ahead of me and then the ring bearer (no Grandparent or parent seatings) we're only doing one song.  Making it nice and simple!

I believe in a lot of things. I believe in fresh tennis balls, the healing power of bunnies, and that the novels of Susan Sontag are something I'll never read. In fact, I don't even know who Susan Sontag is. What is she... like... a painter? I believe in Crystal Lite because I believe in ME. I believe in the movies of Val Kilmer, though these days it ain't so easy. I believe in Darren Sproles, the word "dabble", the first season of "Silk Stockings", and big, warm, moist, gooey chocolate chip cookies that melt in your mouth and all over your face.

We are having a violinist with piano accompanyment for our music for a catholic ceremony. Do we need to have a singer as well?
