Reception Site

I'm thinking about having my reception at the Kellogg Center in East Lansing.  Does any one have any advice?

I definitely considered the Kellogg Center.  It's beautiful, and they take care of everything.  Unfortunately, they were out of our price range.  Good luck!

I actually just booked my reception there!  I've heard nothing but great things from people who have attended weddings at the Kellogg Center.  It's a little pricey but worth it (IMO) compared to the convenience of everything all in one place.  All of our guests will at least be semi-out of town (kzoo or detroit plus many out of state) so having it at a hotel is nice so that they don't have to drive home that night (or even drive to a separate hotel.)

Pam who is the wedding coordinator has been wonderful so far and very patient with all of my questions.  Granted, I haven't had the wedding yet but like I said, I've heard nothing but great things.

The only down side I've had so far is that you only have access to the site 2 hours before the event start time so it doesn't give you a lot of time to set up if you have complicated decorations (although she mentioned that they would help with the decorations if it wasn't too complicated.)

You can e-mail me at emarston1 at gmail.com if you have any questions.

    HTH!

We considered it, but then it turned out that they were completely booked for our day thanks to a festival.

We had our wedding reception at the Kellogg Center (waaaay back in '03), and were extremely pleased!
