Any advice on message in a bottle invites? I saw an article about this somewhere but now I can’t find it. Good idea or bad?

I didn't do it myself, but I did see a blog about someone who did and it was so cute. I wonder if it's the same one. I know that they did use http://www.bottlemeamessage.com for the supplies. It's definitely unique, but the cost of mailing them would be so expensive. I guess if you have only a limited number of people you'd be inviting, it wouldn't be too bad.
