Wedding Attire Help

My wedding dress came with a matching shawl. I want to do something with it but I am not sure what, I would hate for it to go to waste. You girls are always full of ideas, so I figured someone may be thinking of something I am not.

What material is it? If it's lace or a similar material, you could give it to your florist to wrap around your bouquet.

Its taffeta, the same material as the dress. Its ivory as well.

I know this may sound funny, but maybe it would be nice for your mom to use if it matches her dress? My stepsis had her mother and grandmother coordinate with her dress (they all wore red shoes and ivory) and it made for some awesome pictures.

I do like the idea of wrapping it around your bouquet too.

Hmm. I bet if you cut it up and hemmed the edges, you could still use it to wrap your bouquet with. What about using pieces of it in the bouts for the guys or making fabric flowers out of it?

You could also just put it away for the future and do something with it after the wedding.

what if you saved it for your future child (if you plan on having children)? my mom thinks i'm going to cut up my wedding dress for my hypothetical childs baptism gown...and it just isn't going to happen. here's where having some extra material would have been helpful! maybe you could find something to do with the extra piece to have with you somehow-pinning it under your dress, maybe?

Love this. What a great idea. I also love the idea of a wrap for your bouquet.
