WHERE DO I BEGIN

Hello ladies! My name is Krystal and I've been lurking for sometime but now I'm ready to get planning. The only things I know for sure so far is wedding is in Oct 2010. We are also on a tight budget (just like lots of others) with a large family. So I would like to get started by picking a reception site....suggest away! We live in Westfield and are expecting around 175 guests.

DEFINITELY check out Palomino Ballroom in Zionsville! I know they give a great winter discount I think it starts in Nov though, it's through March which is when we are getting married there (same issue- big family, small budget.) I would go meet with them and get their info packet- it's nice because it's just the one ballroom, and it's very family-oriented personal service- you're not bride 1 of 4 for the evening- you are their whole day. I just adore their staff! www.palominoballroom.com

Yeah where I am getting married is very expensive IMO but you can check it out. It's Terrace at Market Towers, downtown Indy. The first place that came to mind was Palamino's though. I went to a reception there in May and it was gorgeous!!! The bride said it was very reasonable.

If you go to the Hamilton County CVB website they have a list of all the venues in the county plus the cost...catering info...capacity...etc.   GREAT TOOL!The first link is the bridal guide.  It is basically a giant list of vendors.  The second link is the facility guide that has all the venue info. http://8greattowns.com/images/pdfs/final%20hccvb%20bridal%20guide.pdfhttp://8greattowns.com/images/pdfs/final%20gatherings%20guide.pdf

Ditto the Palomino ballroom!!I just had my wedding and reception there 2 weeks ago and it was AWESOME. Beautifully decorated and the food was out of this world. The staff there are phenomenal and they are at your beck and call ALL DAY and with a smile on their faces.I honestly don't have enough good things to say about the PB. Definitely check it out. Our guests were (and still are) complimenting the wedding and what a good job PB did.
