FW area brides - Church?

Hi Ladies, I am hoping some of you in the Fort Wayne area can help me. I am from NJ so I don't know the area super well. (I know the important things like where Powers and Clara's Pizza King is - lol) This is my second wedding (FI too) and we were both raised catholic - so obviously the Catholic Church wedding is out. However, I did not get married in a church the first time and I think this is something I would really like to do. So - does anyone know of a church or chapel that is maybe Epispocal or non-denomonational (or any other Protestant church), that you thiink would marry an out-of-town couple? FI is from FW and for a few reasons we have decided to marry there. Any help would be most appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks, Kelly

How big of a church are you looking to get married in?  There's quite a few churches in the area that would probably be willing to allow you get married there and quite a few pastors of those churches who would be happy to perform the ceremony.  Do you have a specific style of church in mind or a specific location in Fort Wayne in mind?  My hubby and I got married at Faith Lutheran off of Pettit and Anthony.  It's a gorgeous church and it can hold about 350 to 400 people.  Their website it www.faithfw.com. Let me know if you need any more info!  Or if that church doesn't suit what you're looking for I'd be happy to help you find a different church, as I know quite a few of the pastors in the area and have been to a multitude of the churches in the area.

If neither of you were married originally in the Catholic Church, then you can get married in a Catholic Church! I would call one in Fort Wayne and check. If you choose to call one, stay away from Our Lady of Good Hope, they tend to be more strict. I'm getting married at St. Vincent's in FW. If you do not want to get married in the Catholic Churhc, I would try The Chapel in FW.

Thanks so much ladies! My Fi actually got married in the church the first time. We could try the annulment route but it may be a stretch. The wedding will probably be small - so between 75-100 people. I will definitely look into the ones mentioned - but if you know of a smaller church that would be great. We will be there for Thanksgiving - so we will do a little more research before then. I really do appreciate the replies! Planning from far away is not easy. Thanks so much!
