In Monroe county, you just need both people present and identification. I am bringing my birth certificate also just to be safe. Did you do a google search for marriage license indiana?

It varies by county. Your best bet is to call the county clerk of the county in which you're getting married. In Allen County, all you need is your drivers' license and passport/birth certificate, plus your cash fee.

I actually called the clerk in my county, but go figure, she rattled off a website while I was in the car without anything to write it down onto.  Well, in my mind, I thought it'd be easy to just google, but I'm finding outdated websites (where you have to have a medical exam, which I know she told me is untrue).  I'll call again today.  I just thought maybe Indiana's counties were all the same - which I think based on what you guys said, it is.  Thanks!

I think for laporte county... we need proof of residency, our identification and then we have to be present. I got this from our officiant: LaPorte County, Indiana * Applications must be at least 18 years of age. * Both applicants must be present at the time of application with a valid driver's license or a state identification card, for proof of residency, identity, and date of birth. * If either person has been divorced within 6 months prior to application, that person must have a certified copy of the divorce decree, signed and dated, with a judge's signature. * If at least one of the applicants in a resident of LaPorte County, the fee is $18.00, payable in cash only. * If both applicants are out of state, the fee is $60, payable in cash only. You must be married in LaPorte County, Indiana, if you are both out of state residents. * If both applicants are Indiana residents, but live outside of LaPorte County, they must go to the county in which they live. * Once the license is obtained, Indiana residents may be married anywhere in the state. The records will be recorded in whatever county you applied in. * If the couple is being married in another state, they must go to that state, and follow that state's requirements. * The license is valid for 60 days, and can be used the same day it is applied for. There is waiting period. * Judges are available Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM with an appointment. No fee is required, but donations are accepted and appreciated. If applicant is under 18 years of age (17 years of age) * All above requirements apply. * Both parents of under age applicant must be present, with their valid driver's license or state identification card. * The under age applicant must have a certified copy of their birth certificate. * If the under age applicant is not an Indiana resident, he or she cannot apply in Indiana. * Age 17 Parental consent required... * Age 16 & 15 Female must be pregant or already a mother, male must be the father. Parental consent required together with the judge's concent. Cost $131.00 * Age 14 cannot be married * In any event, where parental consent is required and the parent refuses to give consent, the parties wishing to marry may apply to the Judge in writing or orally and the Judge may order the licensed issured without parental consent. This is best done by retaining an attorney so that the proper notices, etc. can be prepared. * Female applicants under the age of 50 are required to present a premarital examination certificate as proff of Rubella immunization and must be on the form funished by the Indiana state board of health. This form is to be completed and signed by a physician. Signature stams of physician are acceptable, but the signature of a nurse signing for a physician is not acceptable.
