Should the MOH match the BM?

My wedding is June 5th and we'll have a small bridal party. My sister-in-law has agreed to be my MOH and my fiance's brother is going to be his best man. With such a small bridal party, I can't decide if it would look better if each person wore what he or she'd be most comfortable in or tie everyone together with one or two colors. Also, my niece and nephew are going to be in the wedding. Any suggestions?

I think they can match if you want them to, but it would definitely look okay if they didn't.  I think I'd probably have them in different dresses if I had more than one BM.  If you want them to look more tied together you can do two dresses in the same color or use a sash to connect them.

my MOH was in red with a blue sash and my girls were in blue with the red sash. So the guys kind of matched the best man had a red vest and the groomsmen and ushers were in blue. Really pretty. Check my post of pics lil farther down should show you a couple examples. you might have to go down to older posts on the photographers site. she is very popular and busy. Don and Jill's wedding

I have a maid of honor, and a matron of honor. They will be in black dresses. I have three bridesmaids, and they will be in red dresses.... I think whatever you want is what you should do!

I think it will work either way.do a google image search or bridal party and see what comes up.  It might help you decide.

Are you looking for color suggestions? I didn't realize that. I think you should tie the color into your wedding. If you want them to be able to wear what they want the easiest way is to have the guys get a black suit they can wear again (we did this-mens wearhouse is always have sales) and you can gift them the tie. With You can shop with your sister in law to help her find something or say "Hey go to White House Black Market and pick out any black cocktail type dress" I had a friend do this and the girls were pretty happy about it. Black works no matter what time of year and then her bouquet and his tie/bout can have the wedding colors.
