Canal Wedding/Reception HELP!!!!!!!!!

My wedding is going to be on the canal on July 3, 2013. Anybody know where i should have have my reception ? I was thinking Indiana Arts Garden or JW Marriott because thats where alot of people will be staying? What about transportation ? I need alot of ideas please !!!!!!

On the canal, there is the Indiana Historical Society, the Indiana State Museum, and Eiteljorg Museum.  These are all pretty pricey.  The Marion County Public Library is a gorgeous venue but is super expensive.  A few miles from downtown is Fountain Square Theater.  We are having our recpetion there and it is gorgeous!  Going a few miles north of downtown is the Marott (it is actually an apartment complex but has a beautiful atrium and room to have the reception).  Downtown, one of the best priced places we found was Sahm's Atrium.  It is within walking distance of multiple hotels. Many of the hotels downtown have banquet rooms to hold a reception.  I hope that helps!
