rustic wedding venues in Central Indiana. HELP!

I'm looking for a unique (cheap) place to have my wedding. Planning on having it outdoors or possibly in a neat barn. Really really needing help with this!

Oh, I'm an Indiana native, but haven't lived there for 20 years!

You'll have better luck trying the Local Boards (to the left) and searching for the Indiana forum.

    Good luck!

Check out local B&Bs or even real estate agencies.  They usually have good leads on event spaces.

I agree with ginadog- go to the local boards.  Also, interview some day-of-coordinators and ask their opinions on spaces.

    Good luck!

Cheapest you'll find is the Historical Henry Breeding Farm in Edinburgh/Columbus. It's because they include tables and chairs, plus let you cook your own food.

I'm getting married at Wea Creek Orchard in Lafayette IN.  It's a great deal; $500 for the whole weekend or the day before, of, and after the wedding.  The owner is great and you get use of the barn and the entire orchard for what you need.

The Mustard Seed Gardens and Landscape Center has a great barn. BUT it's per person pricing and they don't have tables or chairs. However you can choose your own caterer.

Try the Washington township park pavilion. It's off Rockville road, but it's pretty nestled into a little forest. The pavilion itself has modern amenities, but there are trees and a lake. The woodwork inside the pavilion gives it a nice semi-rustic vibe. For a summer wedding, there is a darling outdoor amphitheater that would be perfect for a ceremony of any size! I am in the industry. I know from experience that you can make any venue work for you. You just have to get creative... Especially on a budget! Maybe where you save in venue, you can make up for it in rustic center pieces. You can do it! My wedding was just over $6000 and it was everything I wanted it to be! : )

There's an awesome round barn in Kokomo/Tipton my cousin just got married at in October! It was super cheap for her, but they have since changed it. All she did was make a "donation". Now they have a set price, but I have no clue what it is. It was a beautiful wedding and very neat area...VERY Indiana! lol

There's a big gorgeous historical house there as well that they allowed us to use to get ready.

  • We are getting married at a barn in Batesville, IN...a little Southeast, but it is beautiful, and the barn comes with some lights and things up already! It is called Wallhill Farms! Their website doesn't do it justice, but it is beautiful!
  • We are getting married in Bridgeton, Indiana. Having ceremony and reception at site. Ceremony will be in a meadow up the hill from the barn. The town is known for it's historic covered bridge! Price for 4 days (2 days prior, day of, and day after) is $400!! Here is the site: http://www.bridgeton1878house.com/ Good luck!!

  • Bell Creek Manor just opened up in Daleville, IN. I'm unsure of the price, but I've heard it's beautiful. We're getting married at a barn in Brown County for only $1500. This includes tables but not chairs. It's "Heritage House" and the property is absolutely beautiful. We also rented the house that the barn is behind, for the weekend, for an additional $500. There is also another barn down there on the "Artist's Retreat" property, I believe it went for $1200. It may even be a little cheaper in June as it's not high tourist season there like October is.
