I thought it'd be good to leave some feedback on the vendors we used for our wedding in Carmel.
Photographer- Special Moments in Pendleton - Cindy Kimmerling was amazing!!! I would definately recommend them. They were energetic, took tons of pictures, creative, and just overall wonderful people. The prices are very good.
Location - Mansion at Oak Hill - Erin, the wedding coordinator, is WONDERFUL! The location was beautiful outdoor and the reception rooms are nice. The bridal suite is just someone's office and nothing special, but it is nice to have a room to get ready in at the location. We didnt get to taste any of the appetizers, but everyone said it was good. The prime rib was too fatty, the pasta primavera was bland.
Dress- Nancy's was great from the get go. Great job tailoring as well.
Cake - Amazing Cakes by Millie was TERRIBLE! If you do use her, make sure you get a contract. She called me the week of my wedding and knew nothing about the cake and had to go through all the details again. I'm not even sure how she charged us. She didn't know the shape, the design, the delivery time, and told me I had to bring in the ribbon for the cake (I was flying in that Wed and was mad rush to do this, would have been nice to know ahead of time). Additionally, she was very nasty on the phone saying it was all my fault that she would not have made the mistake of not writing it all down that I couldn't make up my mind, which is not the case at all. Then threatened to just refund my money and have me go elsewhere...the MONDAY BEFORE MY WEDDING! Awful.
Rehearsal Dinner - Woody's Library. Was awesome, very cool location, very accomodating, and very good food. Mississippi Mud Bites were a big hit.
Hotel Blocks - Sheraton at Keystone mall was great. They were organized, accomodating, and very friendly. The Marriott at Keystone was awful. I had to call them on 4 separate occassions to find out why they kept telling my guests the room blocks were closed, when they weren't. Additionally they didn't deliver the hotel guest bags we had asked them to. I have no idea what they did with them. They did TRY to make up for it by giving VIP treatment (wine and cheese) to my dad and brother. They also waived the 30 room minimum for our room to be free (which we met anyway, so it didn't really do anything for us).
