Hey all, 

I'm from the Chicago area and my love is from Columbus, IN. I obviously don't know the area very well and the search engines are not helping me at all. I'm looking for a rustic reception venue, like a barn or cottage type setting. Anyone know of anything like that?

The Abe Martin Lodge in Nashville is rustic.  It's in Brown County State Park.  It's not a barn or cottage but does have 2 rooms appropriate for a reception, one large and one small, that have a rustic feel.  My daughter had her reception there in December.

We had a great DJ for my daughter's reception and I would be glad to share any info you need about vendors in the Columbus area.  The ones right here in town tend to be rather expensive, but there are good alternatives in the surrouinding towns.  My son and daughter both got married last year, so I did lots of research.  LOL

Hey Jennifer,

Did you ever figure this one out? I'm queen of rustic events and happen to be from Columbus. We had ours at the Henry Breeding Farm–I blogged about it last year and in the comments section you'll find a few more venue suggestions.
