AW: Mega Checks! (longish)

Ok, so I took a week and went to Pittsburgh and got things done!  I was so uber productive I'm kinda freaking out because I need to update so many checklists, and the budget and lists and all kinds of stuff.Monday, I chose all my flowers and centerpieces.  Super under budget, so that's awesome.  Then I got some DIY stuff (ribbon for programs, frames for table numbers, bowls for cookie table--for kisses, jordan almonds and m&ms, unity candles, and votive candles for tables). We also got cookie trays and take out boxes for the cookie table.  Met with the reception hall/caterer and went over details, got all the other paperwork I'll need so my mom can have the final meeting with them.  Then I met the photographer and am very happy I booked him.  He showed me some of his work and he has such a great attitude.Tuesday, I did hair and dress fitting.  Photos here: [url="http://tinyurl.com/lqav6r"]Note--the tails of the corset will be tucked in, but she had 3 simultaneous appointments, so I told her not to bother.  and the hair will have more rhinestones and better tendrils.Thursday, FI & I were busy with cake tasting in the morning (10 am--a little sugar rush, but so yummy), then marriage license, and picked up ketchup pins and visit Pittsburgh brochures for OOT bags.  Then I did ceremony music with my mom and the organist.  Then FI and I met with the priest--he was great about the fact that we haven't done pre-Cana. He gave us a one hour version--awesome!  Then FI & I met with the DJ--also great.  We went over the flow of events during the reception and we are going to have a blast. I'm so excited! Then Saturday I had my shower.  I'll do a seperate post for that.  But the week was great.  Productive and busy, but I still had a chance to relax and visit with family. And today, I'm on to the paperwork side of things!

Thanks!  I feel like the bustle and the dress just match perfectly!  And I'll admit that the alterations at AA in Monroeville aren't cheap, but it was a convenience factor for me.  If I would have had them done elsewhere, it would have been one more place to go/appointment to schedule.Kim--nope, I won't be back in Pgh until wedding week.  yikes!  But the alterations are just a hem and the bustle, so it should be fine.  And I'm going straight to AA when I arrive, so if something were wrong, the seamstress will have time.

Thanks for the hair feedback!  I had no idea what I wanted for the longest time, and then finally printed 3 photos the week before I left.  I showed them to the hair dresser and told her to make a combo of them and that's what she did!  I think I'll have the ponytail a little higher for the wedding so that the veil sits higher (maybe an inch), but I do love what she did!

Wow!  Great job on all the checks!  I'm going to Pittsburgh for 3 days in August to try to get some things done but I doubt I'll even come close to what you've done!  Your dress looks amazing!
