Kind of gross stubbly question

So, I've picked up a few good tips from you guys (Seriously - whoever started the deoderant between the legs on short skirt days info, can I send you a cake?) - do you guys have the issue where your armpits always look a little stubby, even right after shave? And if so, do you have any tips to get it done with? I'm trying to figure it out and haven't had much luck (even self-waxing and it wasn't great)

What kind of razor/shaving cream do you use?

Get a better shaving cream. I really like the Art of Shaving Shaving Cream. It really makes a difference. I only use it for underarms so it lasts awhile.

Also get a really good razor and make sure you are replacing the blade before it gets dull. I use a venus razor. I think its the embrace. The one with the 5 blades. The ones with the moisurizing strips, just get in the way of a close shave. if you have a good shaving cream, you don't need the moisturzing strips.

You could try conditioner instead of Shaving cream.  It is smoother and will soften your armpits.

Have you ever thought about using one of those vibrating razors?  I'm wondering if that would help cut the hair closer to the root.

I use different razors for different things. Might sound crazy but they are better at different parts of the body. For my under arms I use Soltera Sensitive Skin Disposable Razors. They are Krogers store brand for soleil razors. I think the store brand is actually better. I don't use shaving cream to shave under my arms. And after the initial shave you pull the skin taunt and shave again in multiple directions. That way the hair is standing up from the skin being pulled taunt. You get a much better and closer shave this way.

I swear by Dove ultimate visibly smooth.  Honestly, in about a week the stubble feel is gone and the skin looks smoother.

Helps to have a good razor too.  Usually one with more than 3 blades works best!!!

I use a loofah and scrub my pits before I shave to get the hair to stand up nice and tall. I use my moisturizing bodywash, not shaving cream.  I also use men's disposable razors.  They tend to get a much closer shave for me than women's razors.

I use the conditioner trick on my lady area and it works great!

I use men's razors also. They cut much closer to the skin.  I also use hair conditioner instead of shaving cream.  I use it on my armpits and legs actually. It just helps soften the skin and I end up with less razor burn

I'm not sure where you are located but check to see if there is a European Wax Center in your area. I just got my underarms waxed and it really wasn't too bad.  First time customers get a free wax either underarm, eyebrow or bikini. I figured for free I gave it a shot, I'll get it done a couple more times before the wedding.

Im a Esthetician..and i can definatley say that waxing gets rid of the 5 o'clock shadow...yes..the first wax is kinda uncomfortable...but as u wax each time..the hair gets thinner/blonder..and even bald in spots. I wax mine and i only have to wax my pits every three months..and the hair feels like very thin arm hair...hope this helps.

        Oh..and also..avoid waxing a week before your period..its most painful then...                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     <a href=" title="Wedding Planning"><img

Im thinking about getting this done. We have a European Wax Center around the corner from our house. Im just afraid of waxing, the last time I did for my friends wedding they burned me so bad that my eyebrows were still red and blistered two weeks later at the wedding :(. How long does it last? I would like to get it done for our honeymoon at least.
