So, some of you on my FB may know that the last week has been an absolute nightmare for Albert and I. In October, we were in a bidding war on our dream house. We won, thank goodness, and everything was going smooth...Until 2 Friday's ago. The appraisal came back $10,000 lower than what we had offered so the bank wasn't going to finance our loan. On last Monday, an ammendment was sent out to adjust the price.
So here's why we were scared:
1.) If they don't accept the ammendment, we had to come up with the extra $10k cash. Yeah, not likely.
2.) We have already submitted our move out agreement to the complex we live in, so as of 12/21 we needed a new home.
3.) If we didn't hear back by today, the bank was cancelling the loan process (45 days on average) so we would be SOL
WELL, about the time we let our agent know what the bank said, he got an email.
Yeah, we will get a house for $10k cheaper than we thought
