Wedding Dress Regrets...

Hello Ladies,

          I'm just wondering if anyone else has ever had any regrets when it came to their wedding dress? Please tell me I'm not crazy lol.....I just ordered my dress at Davids but it was a sample so I wont get it till June, its pretty dont get me wrong but since I cant go on davids webiste to see it (cause its so new, its not up yet) just to make sure it looks good, its starting to make me have  anxiety  about it. I know this sounds crazy, I just wanted to see if anyone else has ever had anxiety about their dress.....here are some pics.

First off, you are so beautiful in that dress!!!

Secondly, I bought the 2nd dress I tried on. And right after getting home I started regretting the purchase because I felt like I didn't try on enought o know if it was what I wanted. But the more I thought about it and saw it I truly fell in love with my dress. I didn't cry when I put it on (which is wierd for me) but I remember the way I felt when I saw it in the mirror.... it took my breath away. And I have never felt that before

You look great in that dress!  Many people have doubts on their dress purchase.  The dress is probably one of your most expensive clothing purchases ever.  Just look at your pictures and remember how great you felt in the dress, because it looks amazing on you.

On a side note, I ordered my dress from David's in August.  They told me it would come in November.  I had it the first week of September.

             You both are putting my mind at ease little by little. Ksulliva- just like you said, I also didnt "cry" when I put it on and thats why I'm kinda scared about it. Also I think that I was still in shock about the fact that I just picked out my dress!!!! ahhhh!!!! lol. And thanks Becka, dont ya think its odd how Davids said that it would take until Nov but you ended up getting it in Sept.? hahaha.... I hope mine comes in sooner

A LOT of people say when they order stuff from David's it comes in super early BUT I might not count on it with yours, since I also bought my dress there, and it was also one of their brand new ones (although not the same one as yours) and because it was so new, it wasn't in the warehouse yet, and because it wasn't in the warehouse yet, they still had to make it, which is why they give you such a long time estimate in the first place. I ordered my dress in December, they told me it would be in in April, so I was "expecting" it to be January/Feb like other brides had told me, and I still haven't heard anything. I'm assuming it's because it's so new. 

I'm just giving you my opinion so you don't get your hopes up on an early delivery if you say your dress is one of their newer styles. 

Oh, and it's gorgeous on you, BTW. I love it!

You look beautiful, but I think its normal to over think these things. I bought mine 2 months ago and still have 7 plus months to go, so I have spend a lot of time thinking I made a mistake. I got it the first day so I wonder if I should've looked longer .

You look great in your dress!!   My dress has been hanging at my mothers house for about 5 months now (don't really remember exactly what it looks like).... everytime I drive by a local bridal shop and look at the dresses in the window, I wonder if I made the right decision about my dress,   My sister and I drove by a bit ago and I pulled over and started to get anxious thinking I made the wrong choice, until she pulled up a picture of me in MY dress.  At that point all of my dress regret vanished.......... I think it is completely natural, but once you put it back on, you will remember why you chose it!!!!

Stop thinking about it! You have enough to think about, just move on to the next item on your long list of things to get done and then you'll be excited when it finally comes in

              Its funny cause I do find myself at times looking at the store window of different stores wondering if I made the right choice too. And your right theres so much more stuff to be worrying about the stressing over the dress, I just got to learn to take a deep breath and relax.......Also, I was wondering what everyone thinks about this....... Do you think I should make it a sweetheart neck out of the top? or leave it as is?.... something Ive been going back and forth on. I also have 7 months to go before I'm married ... I think thats also why I was questioning my dress.

that is YOUR dress!!! it looks like it was made for you Absolutley beautiful..... I fell in love with my dress a couple months ago and it comes in in a couple weeks and i've been feeling anxious but trust your gut and you will be fine !!!

I had the same thing happen to me.  I actually ordered my dress without trying it on!  I wanted a lace vintage inspired gown so bad and I could not find a store that had a sample in my size.  I got the dress months later and it was beautiful, but for some reason I just didnt have that "wow" moment.  I just assumed that I was the type that wouldnt cry or have that feeling other brides have.  Flash to a few months later and I just felt like I needed to look at other dresses...I am happy to report that today I put on a dress that had not only myself, but my mom, consultant AND a few others in the store in tears, and is NOTHING I thought I would like!  You look great in that dress, but dont ever feel like you are stuck with it!  You never know what you may find...and you also may learn that the dress you chose really is the right choice!  Follow your heart!

I bought the first or second dress I tried on and its been hanging in my closet since October. I have looked at other dresses online and often found myself wondering what if. But my mom and my fiance were with me when I chose the dress and it happened to be perfect for me. Although I have seen more fancy and dazzling dresses, I don't regret my purchase. It looks great on me and makes me feel absolutely beautiful. Its simple and elegant and I can't wait to wear it.

You look beautiful in that dress. Don't stress yourself out! Just know that when you put it on and walk down that aisle to your future hubby, you will be the most breathtaking person in the room!
