The drama continues...
I made a surprise visit home a couple weekends ago - which my mom loved. But when I was there, my grandmother was constantly jabbing at my fi (for example - handing me an article about anger management for him - when he was sitting right there and acting like he didn't exist). Then told us that on my parents' 25th party, my sister's bf's whole family will be invitied but not my fi's (which if that's my parents' wish, that's fine - but it wasn't) and it offended my fi and he let her know that he might not even come (because of the drama and feeling unwelcome) and she flew a lid and hasn't talked to me much since.
I called last night to see about thanksgiving plans (FMIL and her family are coming) and my grandma said that she wasn't talking to me until she got an apology from us for fi being "rude and disrespectful." And when I tried to talk to her, she hung up on me. Needless to say, no progess was made at all to find out what's going on about why the opposition to my marrying fi is, other than it's spilling over into every other part of my family life...
The fi (and my sisters) are really fed up with the whole situation and I'm at my wits end in how to handle/deal with it.
