I'm still in shock that they pulled this off (and kept it a secret for so long) so I just had to share. Twice a year, our office gets together with our regional staff members - once on campus and once in January at a central location. So we flew down to Chicago for our spring staff meeting yesterday. We were going to Dave and Busters for "team building" and I was super pumped because I had never been.
Well it turned out to be a surprise bridal shower for me and my co-worker who are engaged and getting married a month apart. Everyone had pitched in and got us some presents as well as tiaras with veils attached. I feel so blessed to have such amazing and supportive co-workers! We split up and played some games as teams to compete against each other.
The only down side is that I can't bring my presents home because we flew to Chicago and I have no room to take them on the plane...
