Burn from waxing ~ ohh noo..

My worst nightmare has come true. I have a burn on my upper lip from the wax job I received from a newbie at my salon last night. Grrr..Does anyone know of any good remedies, lotions, etc. that will take care of this asap?

Oh my goodness!  My aesthetician (sp?) would be mortified.  I usually use TendSkin after waxing, maybe aloe if it's still tender.  Can you call the salon and see if they have any freebie cooling creams they'd give (since they burned you and all)?  My girl usually has some freebies to give away because they come when she orders her wax. Many vibes!

Ugh, that sucks.  I've been burned under my brow before - right before my senior pictures, of course.  I still have a light scar.  :(I used a prescription cream for burns on it.  I'm fairly certain it was this:  http://www.medicinenet.com/silver_sulfadiazine-topical/article.htm

Thanks a bunch for the suggestions. I'm going to try to find some TendSkin after work today. I called the salon and they told me to use an ointment such as Neosporin. Unfortunately, I can't get off work this week to go to the doctor for a prescription. I hope this won't scar. :(

Ouch. I had a wicked one of these last December on the night of DF's company Christmas Party. I can't help with healing things, but I can help with cover up Christian Dior Airflash worked beautifully, and even in photos you cannot tell. Lasted all night! Good luck!

I did leave a message w/ the nurse for my PCP and I'm waiting for a call back. She usually wants me to come in, I think they like my 20 dollar bills. But you're right, it's pretty cut and dry, it would be awesome if she just called in the prescription. Fingers crossed!

I think I have used similar stuff to what KR mentioned.  If you can't get the prescription, I would just go to CVS or RiteAid and see what they recommend (I think I actually saw something similar to what KR mentioned only it was OTC...maybe a lower dose).  I hope you don't scar!
