Backstory: I got a Droid X2 from Verizon in mid-June after my Blackberry finally bit the dust for the last and final time. About 2.5 months later, the speaker and earpiece on the phone went out to the point where it only worked when in speakerphone or over Bluetooth. So they sent me a replacement refurbished phone. Great, whatever, this thing better work now.
No problems until late last night as I'm about to go to bed. I'm scrolling through a thread on TK boards when all of a sudden the phone just freezes. I wait. Nothing. Stays frozen. I try all the buttons. I try turning it off. Nothing. So I pull the battery out, put it back in, try to turn it on....
NOTHING. The damn thing won't turn on now. So I guess I'm going to Verizon today. Fantastic. But it always takes around 2 days to get the replacement phone since they no longer replace with brand new phones. WTF am I supposed to do? Pull my Motorola Razr out of its box from years ago and resurrect it so that I at least have calling capabilities should an emergency arise?! UGH. Such a PITA.
When Verizon determines I need a replacement phone, I think I will raise hell and pretty much demand it be replaced by a new model in the store as I cannot go without a phone for 2 days just because their product is defective. Oh and because their replacement refurbished phone only lasted 2.5 months... not sure I want to go down that road again.
Anyone having a better Sunday than me?!?!
