Cute "party" dresses

I have a really hard time finding cute dressy dresses that aren't like Super long.
Just beacause I need a size bigger than a 6 doesn't mean I want it to be over my knees!
To be honest, my legs are my greatest asset, and the ONE place i can actually lose weight if i try.

Wondering where you gals find cute dresses?
I did buy one at DB and have it hemmed but it was liek 150 buckaroos and I don't want to spend that all the time and money when I want a cute dress for going out.

I am new to "accepting" my pluss size ness (and I STILL hate that its "plus size" like, as opposed to what "minus size" uh)  so I'm not so familiar with where I can shop. For the longest time I punsihed myself by only wearing leggings and baggy silky shirts (uk) so that i wouldnt have to buy "the next size up"
