Am I just being paranoid???

Ok so normally I am very comfortable with my size and shape.  I have been a curvy woman all my life and this is who I am and I love the way that I look... most of the time....  But for some reason I am freaking out that I am gonna look fat in my wedding dress.  I have tried it on twice and in front of the mirror I think that I look amazing in it, but that was back when I bought it 6 months ago.  Now I am thinking that I am going to look like a "fat cow" and everyone is going to be talking about how fat I look instead of how beautiful I look. 
Are these just pre-wedding jitters that are blown out of proportion, or what?

I agree with tiff, no one will be thinking that you look fat.. they will just be taken aback by how beautiful you look. It is completely normal to be self conscious in your dress because it is such a big day and you will have a lot of people there to see you. But you will be the only one who is having those thoughts.

Once you put on the dress and see how amazing you look you won't be worried about it any more.

Remember this is a day for you two and the people there are lucky to be guests at your wedding. I am a thick girl and keep saying I need to lose weight. But our other halves fell in love with us for who we are.

I was worried about this too, and I am plus size, and feel self conscious in everything I wear. I have a complex about my upper arms and chose a strapless dress. I'd searched everywhere for a jacket to make myself more comfortable. I'd stressed for ages over it.

And you know what?

On the day, I didn't even think about it. My room was chocka with people as I got dressed. It took three moms to lace me in. We organised the BP (all kids)... heck, we were all so busy, all throughout the day, I didn't think about my weight/how I looked in my dress (people were complimenting me that was about as far as I thought about it). All day, it didn't matter.

I know that you're worried about this now, but all I can say to you is, you're going to be beautiful. Ladies, we may be fat, thin, tall, short, different colours... the one thing every lady looks absolutely amazing in is her wedding dress. And its because on her wedding day, she's shining with happiness (hopefully!).

ETA: Oh, and that jacket I'd spent ages trying to find? Didn't even wear it.

Jitters.  Lots of people have second thoughts on the dress and themselves, but end up looking beautiful on their wedding day.  You will be gorgeous.

every person i know that has bought a wedding dress has had second thoughts about it.  whether it be how they look in it, is it to skimpy, do i look to fat, to short, is it showing to much skin, not enough skin. to much lace, to much sparkle, the wrong color etc etc etc.  just try to remember why you feel in love with that dress in the first place and everything will be fine!  good luck!

I would say it's most likely jitters. You are going to look absolutely amazing in your dress! We all worry about that too. I tried mine on back in October and haven't since! lol We will be ordering it in March. Don't worry, you'll be gorgeous!

Thank you all for your kind words and support.  I feel a little better now.  But I'm sure that the feeling will return at some point...
