Since I've been there, done that (and I know there are some other recently married ladies on here, too!), I just wanted to throw this out there since you brides-to-be may have to deal with it in the future.
Whenever my (size 10) mom would zip me into my dress at my fittings, she would grunt, and go "Oh gosh, I don't know if this will fit," and act like she needed 7 other people to help her zip me in. Every time it happened, I was incredibly hurt. The dress is supposed to be tight! Then I posted about it on my month board a month or so before my wedding.....
Other girls chimed in about how their mothers did the same when zipping them in... and they were sizes 6, 8, 10, etc. "Normal" sizes. They said it was normal for moms to do this and not to feel bad. So I got a new perspective on it and stopped letting it bother me as a "plus size bride dilemma." It's just a "bride dilemma" for many brides.
Hope this helps when you get to this point!
